The Trinidad Miners easily defeated the Salida Spartans by a score of 59-36 on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Kirsten Martinez lead Trinidad with 22 points scored while also collecting three rebounds and five assists. Julia Holden recorded a double-double, scoring 15 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
Salida was lead in scoring by Rachel Pelino who put up 14 points while grabbing two rebounds. Jayda Winkler had a good night, recording eight points, five rebounds and three assists.
Next up for each team, Trinidad will play host to Lamar, while Salida will travel to play Manitou Springs.
