The Gateway Olympians narrowly lost to the Lakewood Tigers in a 55-51 showdown on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Michael Bennett lead Lakewood with 18 points scored while also recording six rebounds and four assists. Kyle Wisniewski helped by chipping in 14 points and two rebounds.
Gateway was lead in scoring by Rj Webster who scored 12 points while also racking up one assists. Dj Wilson recorded a double-double, scoring 11 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Lakewood heading to play Bear Creek and Gateway taking on Prairie View.
