A 67-year-old woman who was shot dead in Aurora on Monday has been identified and her 41-year-old son has been arrested as a suspect in her death.

The woman was identified as Mae Rose Garth, according to the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

Garth was shot to death, according to the coroner’s office. The incident was reported around 9:20 a.m. in the 600 block of North Potomac Street, according to Aurora police.

On Tuesday evening, police announced that Tyrone Garth, her son, has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
