The Rye Thunderbolts easily defeated the Las Animas Trojans by a score of 60-9 on Saturday.
Rye was paced in scoring by Jolee Ortiz who put up 15 points while also collecting three rebounds and one assist. Sydney Adamson and Sophie Adamson also had notable performances contributing 14 points and 10 points, respectively.
Las Animas was lead in scoring by Monique Maes who put up five points while collecting three rebounds. Julyanna Gonzales had a notable night, scoring two points.
In their next games, Las Animas will play host to Rocky Ford, while Rye will travel to play John Mall.
