Basalt made their presence felt from three-point land, hitting 40% of their shots but ultimately fell 82-49 to Gunnison on Saturday.

Braden Wood lead Gunnison with 19 points scored while also recording two rebounds and six assists. Hunter Wood and Aidan Hulbert also had good outings contributing 17 points and 15 points, respectively.

Basalt was lead in scoring by Jackson Rapaport who put up 12 points, while also recording five rebounds and two assists. Wish Moore helped by chipping in 11 points, two rebounds, and five assists.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Gunnison hosting Cedaredge and Basalt taking on Aspen.
