
With temperatures hovering around zero degrees, wind chill factors of -13 were possible in Denver Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. The high temperature will peak below freezing at about 30 degrees, forecasters said.
Snow showers are expected to begin in the mountains Wednesday night. Another round of snowfall could begin in the metro area on Thursday night with up to 3 feet of snow expected to fall in the mountains by Friday, weather forecasters said.
On Thursday, it is expected to be mostly cloudy during the day with a high temperature of about 43 degrees. There is a 50% chance of snow Thursday night. Between 1-2 inches of snow accumulation is possible, the weather service said.
Localized bands of heavy snow could fall on the northeast plains on Thursday night, the NWS said.
Heavy snowfall for the north central mountains late tonight through Friday night. Storm totals will range from 1 to 3 feet, with wind gusts up to 60 mph over the mountain passes. Areas of blowing & drifting snow will cause reduced visibilities & snowpacked roads.

Snow is likely in Denver on Friday, when the high temperature should be around 37 degrees. Winds could gust up to 26 mph, the NWS said. There’s a chance of snow Friday between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., the NWS said.
It is expected to be sunny with a high of 47 degrees on Saturday before another chance of snowfall is expected Sunday, the weather service said.
