The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds beat the Swink Lions by a score of 39-32 on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Sangre de Cristo was paced in scoring by Ashley Mortensen who scored nine points while also recording two rebounds and two assists. Lexis Metz had a good night, scoring eight points.
Swink was paced in scoring by Jolie Bond who scored 11 points while collecting five rebounds. Sidney Larrew helped by chipping in eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Sangre de Cristo heading to play Centennial and Swink taking on Crowley County.
