The Pagosa Springs Pirates earned a win when they defeated the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers 46-28 on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Pagosa Springs was lead in scoring by Teagan Stretton who accounted for 12 points while also recording three rebounds and three assists. Hailey Griego recorded a double-double, scoring 11 points and collecting 12 rebounds.
Montezuma-Cortez was paced in scoring by Paige Yarbrough who scored 11 points, while also collecting four rebounds and two assists. Dimery Plewe helped by chipping in seven points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Pagosa Springs heading to play Centauri and Montezuma-Cortez taking on Bayfield.
