The La Junta Tigers defeated the Buena Vista Demons by a score of 44-34 on Friday.
La Junta was paced in scoring by Thomas Garcia who scored 15 points while also grabbing three rebounds. Trent Johnston aided the effort by chipping in eight points and seven rebounds.
Buena Vista was lead in scoring by Isaac Bearss who accounted for nine points, while also recording two rebounds and two assists. Tucker Storms had a notable night, recording eight points, five rebounds and three assists.
Buena Vista will play host to Manitou Springs, while La Junta will travel to play St. Mary’s.
