Genoa-Hugo/Karval easily put away the Deer Trail Eagles by a score of 48-17 on Friday.
Ryely Smartt lead Genoa-Hugo/Karval with 21 points scored while also collecting seven rebounds. Brylee Miller and Glorya Carr also had solid outings contributing six points each.
Deer Trail was lead in scoring by Emily Reed who put up four points, while also recording five rebounds and two assists. Dulce Fernandez and Alex Donovan also had respectable performances contributing three points each.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Genoa-Hugo/Karval heading to play Kit Carson and Deer Trail taking on Flagler/Hi-Plains.
