The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds defeated the Salida Spartans by a score of 68-63 on Saturday.
Sangre de Cristo was paced in scoring by Cole Christensen who scored 25 points while also collecting nine rebounds and seven assists. Luke Christensen aided the effort by contributing 12 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
Salida was lead in scoring by Myles Godina who scored 21 points while collecting five rebounds. Jonah Ellis and Max Ferguson also had notable performances contributing 13 points and 10 points, respectively.
In their next games, Sangre de Cristo will stay home and play Moffat, while Salida will travel to play Atlas Preparatory School.
