Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies looking for a man who shot at another during an argument over dog poop on Tuesday night.
No one was injured in the incident near S. Parker Road and E. Florida Ave. but deputies asked residents to shelter in place while the search was conducted.
“The victim in last night’s shooting told deputies he and the suspect were both walking dogs and got into an argument about picking up dog poop,” said Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ginger Delgado.
The man fired but missed and then ran away, police said.
The deputies who conducted the search found no suspects and lifted the shelter in place at 10:49 p.m.
Update to last night's shooting: Victim told deputies he and the suspect were both walking dogs and argued about picking up dog poop. Suspect then pulled out a gun and fired. Victim was not injured, suspect still at large. Please call Crime Stoppers with info: 720-913-STOP.
