
Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar will be in Denver on Monday to host a “grassroots event” ahead of the Super Tuesday Primary, according to her campaign.
Doors for the event, at Mile High Station, 2727 W. Colfax Ave., open at 12:15 p.m. and the program starts at 1 p.m., according to Amy for America.
Klobuchar, a lawyer and U.S. senator for Minnesota, held an Aurora rally on Feb. 20 that drew 1,100 attendees.
At the Aurora event, Klobuchar spoke about joining the international climate agreement, increasing Pell grants available for education and making it easier to pay back loans. Her platform also includes creating comprehensive immigration reform and implementing universal background checks for gun purchases.
As of Friday, Klobuchar had seven pledged delegates and individual contributions of $30.8 million, placing her , according to the New York Times. She was polling at 6 percent nationally.
