Considering Coors Field has always been more of an entertainment beacon than a true baseball cathedral, give credit to the Rockies for understanding what they’re selling.
The club is once again advertising for their which is “back by popular demand” and touts “on-demand access to the best Rooftop bar in Denver”.
That’s right, the main selling point for this ticket package isn’t the baseball game. It’s the scene up at the party deck, where baseball is part of the backdrop along with the mountains and the cityscape.
The Rooftop, which opened in 2014, eliminated about 3,500 seats in the upper deck of right field in favor of a two-tiered, standing room area. It’s been a huge hit with fans in the six seasons since, and the area is usually jam-packed during weekend games throughout the summer.
Standing-room-only passes in the package can be redeemed right up to game day (based upon availability) and a minimum purchase of eight is required. You can redeem up to six passes per game, although the package excludes eight home games: opening day (April 3), the Dodgers series (Aug. 21-23), a Cubs game (Sept. 7) and the fireworks games (July 3-4, Sept. 25).
Each pass also includes $6 in concession credit, a.k.a. about one free brew, so you can get your party started. The passes are $12 each, for a minimum order of $96.
