Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a man Friday night in southwest Denver.

Denver police spokesman Kurt Barnes said Saturday that Legacy Amin, 41, was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder. He is suspected of stabbing a man at around 9:30 p.m. Friday at South Federal Boulevard and West Iowa Avenue.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died.  His name wasn’t released.

Barnes said it’s not clear what prompted the attack or if there was any kind of altercation.
