Major precautionary steps were taken on Monday as Gov. Jared Polis ordered bars, restaurants and other large gathering places across Colorado to close for the next 30 days in an aggressive new push to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
With 27 new cases on Monday, Colorado’s confirmed novel coronavirus cases rose to 160 as local and state officials escalated measures to try to stymie the virus’ reach.
