Denver Public Schools is asking parents to fill out a technology survey for each child per household to better understand how equipped families are for remote learning and what resources the district may need to distribute as the roll-out to non-classroom education begins.

With school buildings across the state and nation shuttered amid the the coronavirus pandemic, the largest school district in Colorado is figuring out how to make the abrupt shift to remote learning for its more than 90,000 students.

Remote learning in DPS launches April 7, and district officials are taking the time in between to stock up on technology some students may not have at home, including a nearly $3 million purchase of 9,000 new laptops.
