Mostly sunny skies are expected with a few scattered rain showers Monday afternoon in the Denver metro area, forecasters said.
It should be mostly sunny in Denver with a 20% chance of rain showers after 3 p.m., the National Weather Service in Boulder said. The high temperature will be about 57 degrees. A low of about 32 degrees is anticipated.
Between 2-6 inches of snow could fall in the mountains Monday, while the Eastern Plains will have scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, the NWS said.

It will get warmer in Denver on Tuesday under sunny skies. The high temperature will be about 63 degrees, the weather service said.
Mostly sunny skies are expected again Wednesday, with a high temperature of about 62 degrees. It will be a breezy with wind gusts up to 20 mph, the NWS said.
Early Thursday it will be mostly sunny with a high temperature of around 60 degrees.
Rain showers are possible beginning Friday morning before 2 a.m. and then there’s a chance of snow and rain between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., forecasters said. Snow showers are expected after 5 a.m., the NWS said. It could turn from snow to rain again sometime before 10 a.m. and then around 8 p.m. the rain could turn back to snow again. It is expected to be blustery.
There’s a slight chance of rain and snow showers Saturday morning before it becomes mostly sunny with a high temperature near 50 degrees. It should warm up even more on Sunday, with the high will be around 56.
