
Monday Night Football’s annual pursuit of Peyton Manning had a familiar ending this week.
, the former Broncos quarterback turned down the sports network’s latest pitch to bring him to the MNF booth, once again denying a television network’s attempts to get him in a broadcast booth.
In recent weeks, ESPN had made a play to for Monday night games, but who still has two years remaining on his current contract.
The Disney-owned sports network also reportedly tried to poach Tony Romo from CBS, but that ended with the former Cowboys QB signing a long-term deal with his current employer worth $17 million annually.
Manning has produced other shows for ESPN+, including “Peytyon’s Places” and “Detail,” but Marchand reported he was unwilling to commit to the weekly scheduled MNF demands.
