Hopefully Chauncey Billups has been honing his trick shots.
The former Nuggets point guard, CU Buffs star and Denver native will compete in a televised H-O-R-S-E competition to help entertain sports-deprived fans during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Billups will compete in a single-elimination bracket against NBA stars, including Chris Paul, Trae Young and Zach LaVine.
Players will be filmed, and the resulting game will be televised on ESPN. The first-round matchup (Billups drew Young) will air Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Among the other eight participants are Paul Pierce, Mike Conley Jr., former WNBA star Tamika Catchings and current star Allie Quigley.
State Farm, which is sponsoring the event, will donate more than $200,000 to aid the fight against the pandemic.
