Denver weather: Metro area slated for hot and sunny forecast on Monday

Break out those sunglasses, it’s going to be a hot one.

Temperatures will approach 95 degrees in the Denver metro area Monday with sunny skies in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

In the evening, temperatures will drop to 60 degrees.

Things will cool off Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and a high of 81. There’s a 40% of thunderstorms and showers in the afternoon. Tuesday evening will cool off with a low of 51.

Moving forward, sunny and hot weather looks to continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
