
A motorcyclist was killed late Sunday in a collision with a car in Jefferson County, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The crash happened at Ken Caryl Avenue and Shaffer Parkway in Ken Caryl, according to account at 11:29 p.m.
The motorcyclist, who was only described as “young,” died at the scene, troopers said.
“Family and dozens of friends are sobbing nearby,” the state patrol tweeted.
The motorcyclist’s identity and details of what led to the crash were not immediately released.
