1 dead in Sheridan crash after motorcycle hits utility truck

A fatal motorcycle crash shut down northbound Santa Fe Drive in Sheridan for nearly four hours on Wednesday morning, according to the police department.

The motorcyclist crashed into the back of an Xcel Energy utility truck near where , also known as Hampden Avenue, at 6:08 a.m. Wednesday, according to the . Additional details on the events leading up to the crash were not available.

Police at 9:44 a.m. Wednesday.

The person killed in the crash will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
