SUV rolls and hits power line in Aurora, killing 2

A man and a woman were ejected from the vehicle at Gun Club Road and South Picadilly Street

Two people are dead after a sports utility vehicle rolled and hit a power line late Thursday night in Aurora, police said.

The crash happened around 10:50 p.m. at the intersection of Gun Club Road and South Picadilly Street when the SUV, which Aurora police said was heading westbound on Gun Club road at a fast speed, lost control and rolled.

Aurora police said the two victims were ejected from the SUV, which eventually stopped after hitting a power line, damaging the pole.

The victims, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Their identities will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
