One person was killed and three others wounded in an early-morning shooting during a large gathering in Commerce City, according to the Commerce City Police Department.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m. in the 6300 block of Ivanhoe Street, Cmdr. Greg Sadar said in a news release.
Officers found one male on the scene who had been shot; he later died at a hospital. Three other victims took themselves to another hospital and were treated for gunshot wounds, according to police.
“Initial reports indicate there was a large gathering which resulted in a disturbance and eventually a shooting,” Sadar said in the statement.
The investigation is ongoing, he said.
