Denver police arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a Monday shooting that left one man dead.

D’Andre Horton is being investigated on suspicion of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder after the shooting in the 10100 block of East Harvard Avenue, police said on Twitter. He was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Denver police spokesperson Christine Downs.

The man who was shot was transported to a hospital with serious injuries Monday before he was declared dead. He has not been identified. Police believe the victim and the suspect knew each other.

Anyone with information is asked to call Denver Metro Crime Stoppers 720-913-7867.

Monday’s shooting was one of two overnight shootings on Labor Day.
