It may be fall, but there’s still time to enjoy a nice dip in cool water.

For man and beast, apparently.

Tommy Branson was boating on McPhee Reservoir in the San Juan National Forest last weekend when he spotted an unusual sight: a mountain lion paddling across the water.

Branson pulled out his cellphone and recorded the mountain lion making it safely to shore before scampering up a hill into the surrounding wilderness. While cats are not known for being fans of water, this particular mountain lion looks to be bucking the trend.

McPhee Reservoir is the fifth largest lake in Colorado and popular for boating, fishing, camping, hiking and biking.
