Firefighters in Denver on Wednesday afternoon responded to a three-alarm fire at an apartment complex where flames were rising out of the roof and smoke billowed into the sky.

The fire broke out at the Oak Park Condominiums, 10150 E. Virginia Ave., according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported and firefighters rescued three dogs from the burning building.

Firefighters used ladders to access the roof of the multi-unit, three-story building to attack the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
