Why are you seeking public office?
We need change in HD2. The members of this district deserve to have a choice on the ballot. HD2 deserves to have someone in the office available to them. There needs to be someone in office who wants to make HD2 better. I am that person!
What will your top three priorities be if elected?
We need more action and less talk about the homeless problem in HD2. We need to make sure parental choice is at the forefront for children’s education. Parents know their child best. Taxes need to be lowered for all. I worry about those who have a lower disposable income.
Do you support some type of public option health insurance or Medicare for All at the state level? If so, which and why? If not, why not?
I support privatized insurance. We need to give everyone the option to have the type of insurance they want at the price they can afford. Keep Medicaid available for those who need it.
Have your views on policing and racism in Colorado changed this year? If so, how?
They have not. I fully support all our men and woman in blue who are out there to protect and serve. We need to fund our police and see that they are properly trained. I want to make sure everyone in my district is treated with equality. I will work hard everyday to make sure that happens.
Do you place a greater importance on addressing climate change or preserving Colorado’s oil and gas industry? What steps would you take on these issues as a lawmaker?
They are both equally important to me. There needs to be a balance between oil and gas development and preserving our beautiful Colorado.
Should Colorado consider any new gun laws? If so, which do you support?
I fully support the Second Amendment. We need to make sure our police are able to be in the streets to enforce the gun laws we do have.
