Four armed robbers take over Englewood bank

FBI, Englewood police search for suspects

The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and Englewood police are seeking the public’s help regarding an armed bank robbery in Englewood that occurred Thursday.

According to a news release, four suspects performed a takeover-style robbery at the BBVA Compass Bank on the 4600 block of South Broadway at 3:40 p.m. Thursday. During the robbery the quartet entered the bank with weapons drawn and threatened the bank’s employees. They fled the bank in an unknown direction, FBI stated.

The suspects, all described as four males, were wearing the following clothing during the robbery:

  • Suspect No. 1: Black Adidas hoodie, white or gray gloves, and a gaiter-style face mask.
  • Suspect No. 2: Black hoodie, black and white gloves, and a gaiter-style face mask.
  • Suspect No. 3: Black hoodie, black and white gloves, and a blue surgical face mask.
  • Suspect No. 4: Gray hoodie, black balaclava, and black gloves with an orange design.

A reward up to $2,000 is being offered for help that will lead up to the suspects’ arrest. Anyone who has any information on the bank robbery is asked to call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171; or, you can remain anonymous and call CRIMESTOPPERS at 720-913-STOP (7867).
