A woman claimed on social media that she was “jumped” by Aurora police officers. The woman, Alexandra Stevenson, posted a photo with several cuts on her face.
The Aurora Police Department Wednesday. In a statement released with the video, Aurora police say they received multiple calls from an apartment complex in the 15000 block of East Caspian Circle about a woman honking her car horn for 20 to 30 minutes. Callers claimed that the woman was yelling at residents and threatening to shoot and kill people over her parking spot being taken after 11 p.m., the release said.
Stevenson was in her vehicle when officers arrived and informed them that she had a gun.
After declining multiple requests to get out of her car, officers removed her “due to the fact the officers had information she was in possession of another weapon,” according to the release.

Police say Stevenson was evaluated at the scene after suffering injuries to her face caused by asphalt.
Stevenson was cited for disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer.
Aurora police acknowledged the use of force during the arrest and said an internal review of the incident is underway.
