The Colorado State men’s basketball team added to its 2020-2021 non-conference schedule on Thursday afternoon.
Following this Saturday’s season-opener against CSU-Pueblo, the Rams will stay home for their second non-league clash upon hosting Northern Arizona on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. MT inside Moby Arena.
The last-minute addition occurred in an effort for both squads to compensate for previously canceled contests.
The Lumberjacks (0-1) agreed to travel to Fort Collins after COVID-19 issues within No. 1 Gonzaga’s roster forced the Bulldogs to postpone their upcoming clash versus NAU –– originally scheduled for Saturday.
Meanwhile, CSU has already lost a trio of non-conference games, including a Dec. 8 rivalry affair against Colorado in Boulder.
Medved’s troupe also lost a pair of late-November PAC-12 bouts in California (Nov. 25) and Oregon State (Nov. 26), both of which were to be played at OSU’s gymnasium to commence CSU’s campaign.
When facing the Lumberjacks on Monday evening, the Rams will butt heads against a squad that recently suffered a 96-53 defeat at Arizona after posting a 16-14 overall record last season as a member of the Big Sky Conference.
