A little bit of snow Friday will pave the way for a warmer weekend.
Light snow will begin to fall around 9 a.m. Friday and may last all day in Denver and along the Interstate 25 corridor, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Most of the city’s frosty stuff will melt in the metro area, and not much is expected to stick to the main roads. Slick road conditions may persist on side streets and will make traveling through the mountains difficult. Friday’s high will reach 35 degrees with light winds. Snow accumulation in Denver is expected to be below an inch.
Friday night, skies will be clear as the storm moves out, and the low will plummet to 16 degrees.
By Saturday, temperatures climb back up with a high of 47 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The clearness will continue through Saturday night with a low of 23 degrees. Sunday is more of the same as the high temperature at 48 degrees, and the low will stay above freezing.
