
New year, same question: Do the Broncos use their first-round pick on a quarterback?
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson thinks so. In his , he has Denver selecting Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields with the 10th overall pick. Last week, he was looked at for the No. 4 pick to the Panthers.
“Fields falls to 10, in part because Zach Wilson had a stellar 2020 campaign but also because Fields’ performance against Indiana and Northwestern raised eyebrows,” Wilson writes. “He’s undeniably talented but there are concerns about aspects of his game that could see him be something other than one of the first two QBs drafted.”
The 6-foot-3, 228-pound junior has completed 119 of 164 passes (72.6% completion) for 1,521 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions this season for the Buckeyes. He also has 42 carries for 266 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
