Aurora police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Monday evening in the 1300 block of Alton Street, according to a from the police department.
Officers responded to the shooting around 9:30 p.m. and found 42-year-old Leroy Marcus Devan had been shot. Devan was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, Aurora police said.
Homicide investigators are trying to learn more about a suspect and what led to the shooting.
“At this time the information is still being gathered and there is no additional information to provide,” the news release read.
