The northbound lanes of Interstate 25 were shut down Thursday near Larkspur because of multi-vehicle traffic crashes, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
At about 10:15 a.m. two traffic crashes occurred in close proximity, one involving three vehicles and the other involving nine vehicles, said Master Trooper Gary Cutler, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman. Semi-trucks were among the vehicles involved. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The stretch of highway near Larkspur, part of the 18-mile I-25 South Gap construction project, reopened at about 2 p.m., according to the CSP.

All lanes of Interstate 25 northbound at Ridgegate Parkway were also shutdown Thursday afternoon for an emergency bridge inspection after a commercial vehicle hit an overpass.

The typically busy, multi-lane stretch of highway reopened at about 4 p.m., except the right lane which remained closed, according to the CSP.
The bridge accident involved a commercial vehicle and two other vehicles, Cutler said.
Traffic was rerouted, exiting at Ridgegate and using either Yosemite or Peoria streets as detours. Drivers in the area faced long delays during the safety precaution closure.
