Denver has not received this much snow since early February of 2016. A foot of snow fell overnight, making the Mile High City among the hardest hit by the storm.
In about 12 hours Denver nearly doubled the average February snow total, and got on pace for the seasonal average. The dumping was huge for statewide drought conditions. The storm was also fodder for a lot of social media posts.

Even though I’ve lived here for over 3 years I still get so confused when we have 60 degree weather one day and then almost a foot of snow the next. Stay weird, Denver.

Biggest official Denver snowstorm in nearly 5 years, via @AshtonCBS4 tweet. Biggest February snowstorm since Feb. 1-2, 2016 (11.6”).
For non-Denver folks: mandatory asterisk that official total doesn’t represent majority of city, though it sure did last night.

Denver got a foot of snow last night. That's more than a third of the snow we've received this season and about twice that as the whole average for the month of February.

It will be several days before the side roads and neighborhood roads will be in decent shape.
