Boulder community to hold vigils in aftermath of King Soopers shooting

Just days after the shooting that killed 10, community members organize events to honor victims

The Boulder community has multiple vigils happening this week to honor the victims of the King Soopers shooting that left 10 dead.

Where: Along the west side of Foothills Parkway between Pearl Street and S. Boulder Road

When: All cars should line up before 3 p.m.

Details: The event begins at 3 p.m. The line of vehicles will come down Pearl Street onto Foothills Parkway to U.S. Route 36. The roads will be closed as the hearse is escorted by police.

Where: Boulder Courthouse near Pearl Street Mall, 1325 Pearl St. Boulder, CO 80302

When: March 24, 7 p.m.

Details: This event focuses on community healing and all people who have been impacted by the shooting.

Where: Tantra Park, 4500 Hanover Ave., Boulder, CO 80305

When: March 24, 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Details: Organizer is asking for attendees to bring a light to shine to honor the victims of the shooting.

Where: Fairview High School, 1515 Greenbriar Blvd., Boulder, CO 80305

When: March 25, 6:30 p.m.

Details: Led by Moms Demand Action, this event seeks to remember the lives lost. Organizers are asking people who drive to remain in their cars. Social distancing and masks are required for this event.
