All seven U.S. House members, Republicans and Democrats, which was introduced Thursday. The lead sponsor is Democratic Rep. Joe Neguse, who represents Boulder.

The building at 1905 15th St. in Boulder will be the “Officer Eric H. Talley Post Office Building.” Talley, 51, was one of 10 people shot and killed March 22.

Talley and two other officers followed modern police protocol by charging into the supermarket immediately after arriving that afternoon. As a result, Talley likely saved several lives.

“The renaming of the post office to honor Officer Talley will stand as a reminder of our community’s support and appreciation for his and his family’s sacrifice,” Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said in a news release Thursday.
