A major multi-vehicle crash did close westbound Interstate 70 at Colorado Boulevard Wednesday morning.
The Denver Police Department said that I-70 was reopened in full around 8:30 a.m., hours after the crash.
The crash also blocked one lane of eastbound I-70 through the heart of downtown.
A box truck was on its side in the westbound lanes with a few spun around or damaged vehicles.
Both sides of the highway were affected by the wreck.
It is unknown if there are any injuries.
Colfax Avenue or Interstate 270 to Interstate 25 were good detours and can still work around traffic.
The crash occurred within the construction zone for the $1.3 billion Central 70.
The let lane on EB 70 will remain blocked until they can fix the temporary wall. WB 70, only 1 lane will be open for a long time as they clear this major wreck.
