
Downpours have drifted into downtown Denver the last few evenings, and another could occur Friday. Severe storms may impact the surrounding plains with hail and strong winds in the afternoon.
A couple severe storms expected 3 pm to 7 pm on the eastern plains, with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.
Less intense and isolated to scattered showers and storms expected along the I-25 Corridor and mountains – brief rain and gusts to 40 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, there will be a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. for the Mile High City. Other than the chance for a sprinkle, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 92 degrees on Friday. The northeast plains could see a line of strong storms from Sterling to Akron and Limon. Toward the metro area, isolated scattered intense showers and possibly thunderstorms are possible. Denver will dip to 63 degrees overnight.
A chance for isolated and scattered afternoon storms persists throughout the weekend. Saturday will be sunny downtown with a high of 93 degrees. Gusts of around 18 mph and a low of 65 degrees are forecasted.
Sunday will be similar, with a high of 93 degrees and a low of 65 under clear skies unless an afternoon storm pops up.
This weather pattern will continue into the beginning of next week.
