Colin Duffy, Broomfield

Event: Men’s combine

Age: 17

The youngest member of the USA Climbing team heading to Tokyo, Duffy secured his spot for the sportap debut this Olympics. Duffy started climbing at age five at ABC Kids Climbing in Boulder, where he still trains alongside teammate Brooke Raboutou. With aspirations of studying Engineering in college, Duffy earned ten Youth National Titles, two Youth World titles and a Pan-American Championship in 2020. Living in Colorado, Duffy spent years growing up climbing in the Front Range, including Clear Creek and Rocky Mountain National Park. He conquered God’s Own Stone on a four-day trip to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, one of the most notorious climbing routes. Duffy is making his name known in the competitive climbing world as well as an outdoor climber. Three disciplines of competitive climbing will make their Olympic debut: speed, lead and bouldering.
