Val Constien, Edwards

The former Battle Mountain High School track star will be making her Olympic debut in Tokyo. She is the fourth CU Buffs alum to compete in the event at the Games, joining Shalaya Kipp, Jenny Simpson and teammate Emma Coburn. She earned her spot on the team after putting up a personal-best time of 9 minutes, 18.34 seconds at the U.S. Olympic trials in June to finish third behind Coburn and Courtney Frerichs.
