Denver police seek suspects in two homicides that occurred within six hours Wednesday

Two Wednesday morning homicides have Denver police searching for suspects. One of the incidents was a shooting, and both occurred within six hours of each other in the city.

Officers were called at about 3:50 a.m. Wednesday to the 8100 block of East 39th Avenue where the body of a man was found, police said. Investigators did not disclose a cause of death, which will be officially determined and released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in the area of West Ninth Avenue and Yates Street, according to a 10:21 a.m. Twitter post. The victim, a man, died at the scene.

No suspect information was released Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
