According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver’s high will reach 96 degrees Friday with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Wind gusts between 40 and 45 mph will pick up along with the storm threat, but this will occur away from downtown. The rain should briefly clear some of the smoke in the area. Denver will dip to 61 degrees overnight.

Saturday will have a high of 89 degrees under sunny skies and more smoke. Winds could gust over 20 mph, with a low of 60 degrees.
Sun will hang around Sunday, with a high of 95 degrees and a low of 63 degrees.
Temperatures will hang around into the 90s next week.
NWS forecasts for elevated fire danger over the next several days with dry conditions dominating. Average temperatures will be back middle to late next week, bringing showers as well.
