Interstate 25, where El Paso and Douglas counties meet, will be closed to varying degrees over the next five nights as construction crews complete bridge work and install drainage pipes at the County Line Road interchange just north of Monument Hill.

Delays up to 20 minutes are expected, primarily on Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The first closure occurs Tuesday night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and during the same hours again Wednesday night into Thursday. Both sides of I-25 will close beneath the County Line Road bridge and traffic will detour via State Highway 105 using the County Line Road ramps.

On Thursday night, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday, southbound I-25 will close beneath the County Line Road bridge, once again forcing traffic to detour via State Highway 105 using the County Line Road ramps. On Friday night, the closure of southbound I-25 begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 a.m. Saturday, with the same detour as the night before in effect.

The final night of closure is Saturday night, from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, again affecting only the southbound lanes of I-25. The detour is the same as before.
