Driver accused of killing construction flagger, fleeing in Five Points arrested Wednesday

One person was killed and another seriously injured

A driver accused of crashing into two construction flaggers near 29th Street and Arkins Court on Tuesday has been arrested, according to Denver police.

One person was killed and the other was injured in the crash that occurred after 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Five Points District, said Denver police spokesman Kurt Barnes. The driver fled the scene, according to police, and authorities later located an unoccupied Honda Element believed to be used in the crash.

The driver, who has not been publicly identified, has been arrested, Denver police said Wednesday.
