President Joe Biden is coming to Denver next week to tout his economic agenda, the White House said Thursday.

Biden’s office did not say what day he will be in town or where he will be, but White House officials said he will speak about his economic agenda here.

“In Colorado, the president will speak directly to the importance of the Build Back Better agenda and the impacts that would be felt throughout local communities in Colorado and across the country,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters Thursday.

The visit is part of a three-state western tour that begins Monday and will take Biden to California and Idaho before he arrives in Denver.

The president will discuss wildfires in the other states and take part in an event with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, whose recall election is Tuesday.

Vice President Kamala Harris visited Denver in March to discuss economic recovery efforts but missed an event in Fort Lupton due to plane maintenance.
