One person is dead, and two more are hurt after a domestic violence-related shooting in southeast Denver, police say.
Denver police were investigating overnight and into the morning Tuesday in the 10000 block of East Girard Avenue, near the Bridges at 9 Mile Station Apartments.
A man fatally shot in the incident is described by police as a suspect in the shooting who then “died of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.”
Police say they believe they have accounted for all parties involved in the incident but continue to investigate the circumstances.
A teenage girl is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries and a man is in critical condition, police said.
An infant, the child of the teen shooting victim, was “reported to have been dropped by the suspect, resulting in serious injures,” police said in a news release. The infant is in critical condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
