A man died Friday following a shooting in Denver, and police said they have another in custody accused of murder.
Denver police responded to the 700 block of North Quince Street to investigate a shooting, according to the department’s Twitter account late Thursday. Police said the incident may have started from a verbal confrontation between the two men and became physical, with the suspect, Charles Porter, allegedly taking out a firearm and shooting the victim.
By Friday afternoon, police announced the victim had died at the hospital, and Porter, 26, was in custody under the suspicion of first-degree murder.
The identity of the victim will be released by the medical examiner’s office.
UPDATE: The victim, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The suspect, an adult male has been arrested and is being held for investigation of 1st degree Murder.
